About Me
Hi! My name is Charlotte Bostick, and I am a Public Health major, minoring in Chemistry and Sociology at the University of South Carolina. I'll be graduating in Spring 2025, and am pursing Graduation with Leadership Distinction in Community Service. After graduation, I will be staying in Columbia for another 16 months as I pursue my Master of Human Resources at the Darla Moore School of Business. After that, I plan to work in corporate HR.

Entering into college, I was a pharmaceutical sciences major with no set plan or direction. I was incredibly unsure about what I wanted my future to look like, and was not fully dedicated to the major I had chosen. Thanks to my involvement in co-cirricular activities during my four years here, and a major change, I was able to uncover my true passions and the activities that bring me joy.
It wasn't until my senior year when I realized the right career path for me, as I had always felt uneasy about my future. My involvement on campus with the Gamecock CommUnity Shop, Alpha Omega Epsilon, and Campus Recreation allowed me to develop skills and interests, but I was never sure how they all related to one another. One day, in my HPEB 300 class, my

professor brought in student speakers from the MHR program. It was then when I realized that all of the skills and lessons learned from my on and off-campus involvements nicely fit into the box of human resources. I felt an enormous sense of relief once I was accepted into the MHR program, as I realized that all the effort I had put into my undergraduate career had finally paid off.

My time at USC has allowed for growth in all facets of my life. The community service I engaged in during my time at this institution has been invaluable in terms of allowing me to feel fulfilled while also allowing me to serve the community that has given so much to me. My key insights, listed below, display the experiences and revelations I've had over the course of my undergraduate career that have shaped me into the woman I am today:
Entering into college as a nervous 18 year-old, I never would've thought that I would be where I am today. I have goals for my future, and experiences behind me to support whatever decisions I make. The leadership tab of this e-portfolio describes ways in which I will use my community service experience to advocate for change in my future career. Thanks to my USC experience, I have made a difference in my community and have the skills and passion to continue doing so throughout my life.
